The YABC at Washington Irving us run in partnership with F.E.G.S Health and Human Services (Federation Employment and Guidance Service, Inc.). F.E.G.S Health and Human Services is a large not-for-profit human service organization.

      As a lead partner, F.E.G.S holds a central role in all aspects of school life including student support services, college and career exploration, extracurricular activities, and family support and outreach.

      Each student is paired up with an F.E.G.S youth advisor and Guidance counselor who will help you achieve your goals while attending YABC program.

       

      Student Supports

      Counseling and case Management
      All students are encouraged to communicate any issues that are affecting them inside and outside of school. F.E.G.S. Advisors and the guidance couselor's are able to provide students with on going counseling to help students identify possible solutions.

      Career Awareness and College Exploration
      Through groups run by F.E.G.S. and individual session's, students will be exposed to higher education, professional careers, and lifelong learning opportunities. F.E.G.S. staff act as guides in this process, students examine their interests and explore the careers and fields that might be of interest to them.

      Open Door policy
      Both the YABC Assistant Principal and F.E.G.S. Program Coordinator are always available to talk to students regarding any issues or concerns they may have as well as any other staff member.

      • Assessment of student (health academics wise)
      • Training in dress for success
      • Transcript assistance and other academic needs
